Tesco offer may prompt home insurance switch

Monday, 16 May 2011 03:48

Consumers may be tempted to switch their home insurance policy in order to take advantage of a new offer from Tesco Bank.

New customers in possession of a Clubcard are currently able to benefit from a 30 per cent introductory lower price, while those who act to secure a buildings and contents policy from the company before May 25th will receive a £40 gift voucher.

The deal may prove a tempting offer for people who feel they are currently paying too much for their cover and want to find a deal that makes their money go further.

Recipients of the gift card will be able to spend it at Tesco retail outlets across the UK, as well as at the retailer's petrol stations and on its website.

Tesco Bank, which launched in 1997, states that it now has 6.5 million customers and offers 28 services and products including loans, insurance and savings.
