Two new credit cards – the MBNA American Express Credit Card and the MBNA Visa Credit Card both with cash back – have been launched.

Both give customers the chance to earn as they spend through leading cash back deals.

The MBNA American Express Credit Card with cash backoffers unlimited cash back at 1.5 per cent on purchases at most major supermarkets and petrol stations and 0.75 per cent on all other card purchases, while the MBNA Visa Credit Card with cash back offers unlimited cash back at 1.25 per cent on supermarket and fuel purchases and 0.5 per cent on all other card purchases.

Will Curley, product executive for MBNA, said: "With fuel and shopping costs continuing to rise, we want to give our UK customers greater value when using their credit cards for every day spending.

He added the cards have no annual fees and no limit on the amount of cash back customers can earn for their card purchases.

Mr Curley suggested the bank is constantly searching for ways to bring greater choice and value to the UK credit card market and stated "these two new products reinforce that commitment".
