Savers looking to open a Diamond Saver at Leeds Building Society only have a week left to sign up for an account.

The instant access account, which pays 2.65 per cent gross/ AER, was launched to coincide with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and the society donates £1 to the Woodland Trust’s Jubilee Woods project for every account opened.

All customers who open an account receive a Union Jack themed jute bag.

The Diamond Saver account’s interest rate includes a bonus of 0.6 per cent until May 31, 2013.

The minimum investment to open an account is £100, with a maximum investment of £20,000, or £40,000 for joint accounts.

Kim Rebecchi, Leeds Building Society’s sales and marketing director, said: “We are very pleased with how popular this account has been across our 65 strong national branch network. It offers unlimited, penalty free access along with a great interest rate.”

The Diamond Saver account will be available until close of business on Friday June 29.
