Friday, 13 January 2012 02:55

To help its customers build up a nest egg for the future, Skipton Building Society has announced that it has brought back two of its most popular savings accounts.

Serious Saver is a 15-day notice product that offers interest rates of 2.75 per cent and has a minimum deposit of £5,000,

It will be available from this week from any of Skipton's branches or over the phone.

Meanwhile, the Online Bonus Saver offers a rate of 3.05 per cent and has a minimum opening balance of £1,000.

An instant access product, this account is only available via the building society's website.

Head of products Kris Brewster said: "Sorting out their finances and committing to saving ranks among people's main new year's resolutions for 2012 and we believe these accounts offer them a very persuasive incentive for achieving this."

This comes in the same week that Skipton announced a new range of fixed-rate bonds.
