Offer might encourage contents insurance uptake
Consumers can receive up to £400,000 worth of building cover and £50,000 of contents cover for less as part of a new offer from Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks.
The organisation revealed those who ask for a quote before July 2nd 2011 will be eligible to receive a 50 per cent discount on fees for contents insurance when they also purchase protection for buildings.
"We know homeowners look for competitive insurance deals and this offer demonstrates that we are more focused than ever on delivering value for money products," said Clydesdale Bank retail director Steve Reid.
He added the deal is just one of the ways the firm is trying to help individuals make the most of their money in the current economic climate.
Furniture and gardening equipment also fall under the category of items covered, which may be welcome news for those planning on making the most of their outside space in the summer months.
