Insurance broker claims records destroyed by lightening

The FSA is warning customers of Jeffrey Flanners (Consulting) Limited to check their insurance coverage after storm damage destroyed the company’s financial records.

Since the incident, at least one customer has discovered they didn’t have the insurance cover they believed they had arranged by the firm.

The regulator stated there is a risk the insurance hasn’t been underwritten meaning customers could be unknowingly without coverage.

The FSA is urging those who have household contents policies, building and motor policies to contact their insurers directly as the Jeffrey Flanners office telephone number is no longer in service.

Customers who find they do not have the appropriate coverage should make arrangements immediately and contact the FSA.

The firm, until recently, was operating in Old Barn, Loxwood, Billinghurst and Sussex. The FSA has revealed it has now made contact with the firm.
