Tuesday, 26 July 2011 01:59

Derbyshire Building Society, part of the Nationwide group, has launched its NetSaver account, offering easy access over the web and 3.11 per cent gross/AER.

The deal also includes a fixed introductory bonus of 2.11 per cent paid until November 30th 2012 for balances of £1 or more.

Interest is paid on the NewSaver – which has a minimum opening and operating balance of £1 and a maximum balance of £1 million – annually on November 30th each year and is credited to the account.

Matthew Wyles, Nationwide's group distribution director, said: "The launch of the Derbyshire NetSaver account is great news for those who want the flexibility of easy access.

"With the account paying a fantastic market-leading rate at launch, Derbyshire NetSaver gives customers the best of both worlds. And, to help savers manage their money more effectively, we will write to customers when their introductory bonus is due to end," he added.
