Fixed-rate savings bond paying 6.15 per cent from Coventry Building Society

Coventry Building Society has launched a new fixed-rate one-year savings bond paying 6.15%.

The interest rate is fixed until May 31st 2008.

Savers can invest between £1,000 and £250,000 in the fixed-rate savings bond.

Coventry is also offering a monthly income option paying 5.94% gross pa (6.10% AER).

"We know that this new bond will be exceptionally popular with customers who are looking for a top rate of return on their savings," said Colin Franklin, head of sales at Coventry.

"A monthly interest option is available for those who rely on their savings for income and want the certainty that their interest rate will not change."
