Coventry over 60 saver opens doors

Tuesday, 25 Sep 2007 14:30
Coventry Building Society is extending its over 60s only account to younger savers.

The Sixty-Plus eSave account will be made available to the over 50s.

The new 50 Plus eSave account offers 6.40 per cent (AER/gross pa) fixed for 12 months.

The account also allows unlimited penalty-free access and is open for investments from £1 to £250,000.

Rachel Haworth, head of marketing at Coventry, said: "We are pleased to enhance our savings range for the older generation by now offering this account to the over 50s.

"At a time when many commentators expect interest rates to fall, customers will benefit from the added security of the fixed rate. The account will be available for a limited period only and I would urge savers to take up this opportunity without delay."
