Britannia: Regular savers offered 7.5%

Tuesday, 06 Nov 2007 17:16
Britannia Building Society is offering regular savers 7.5 per cent gross/AER.

The Fixed Rate Regular Saver account offers the higher rate for one year and is open to those looking to save a minimum of £25 a month.

The deal is open to new and existing customers, including those who signed up to a similar offer last year.

Customers need to make twelve equal direct debit payments of between £25 and £250 and no withdrawals are allowed before maturity.

Savers can also benefit from the annual Britannia Membership Reward, which returns a share of the building society's profits to its members.

Tim Franklin, managing director of member business at Britannia, said: "Saving regularly is a good habit to have and this product makes it really easy. With a minimum monthly investment of just £25 it offers a great rate, with no risk, and at the end of the 12 months savers will get a great return on their investment.

"Plus, because we're fair, this is a no strings attached rate that doesn't depend on customers taking another account with Britannia."
