£2,750 interest-free overdraft with Halifax student account

Monday, 02 Jul 2007 08:09
Halifax is offering an interest-free overdraft worth up to £2,750 with its 2007/08 student current account.

The full amount is available from the first year of study, with existing students also able to switch to Halifax to take advantage of the interest-free overdraft.

As well as the interest-free overdraft, Halifax also offers two per cent interest when you are in credit as well as discounts and other services.

"These increased interest free overdrafts could mean a significant saving over a three-year course of study – far better value than a record token or other gimmicks," said Paul Marriott Clarke, head of banking at Halifax.
