How can I insure my personal digital camera?

A reader has a digital camera but wants to make sure it is insured.

A personal digital camera will be covered by almost every home contents insurance policy in the home and away from the home but again it is worth mentioning when arranging insurance.

If it is an expensive or exclusive product then this will need to be made clear with the insurance company so that if you do need to make a claim no one is in any doubt as to the product particulars.
